Web design studio — Netherlands
Websites built for businesses that have outgrown the template
Not a freelancer. Not a large agency. A small studio that takes a limited number of projects each quarter and treats each one like it matters.
Where do you fit?
Tell us your situation. We’ll show you what we’d do.
Your site works, but it doesn’t represent where the company is now
You built it on a template two years ago. It was fine. Now you’re sending prospects there and quietly hoping they don’t look too hard.
What we typically do in this situation:
- UX audit of the existing site
- New information architecture and page structure
- Custom design system built around your brand
- Webflow or Framer build with CMS for your team
- Handover with documentation
You know what’s wrong. You need someone to fix it properly
Maybe the navigation makes no sense. Maybe mobile is broken. Maybe the homepage tries to say everything and lands nothing.
Where we usually start:
- One call to map the actual problems, not symptoms
- Written scope with fixed price before anything starts
- Weekly check-ins, no project manager in between
- You talk directly to the person doing the work
You’re launching something and the site needs to do real work
Not a placeholder. A site that explains what you do clearly, builds trust fast, and turns curious visitors into qualified leads.
What a launch package includes:
- Positioning and messaging review
- Single-page or multi-page design
- Conversion flow: hero, proof, CTA
- From €1,500 for landing pages

What you get that a larger agency won’t give you
One person on your account. Not a rotation.
The designer who talks to you in the first call is the designer who builds your site. No handoff to a junior. No project manager in between.
Scope and price agreed before work starts.
We write a clear brief together, you approve it, and the number doesn’t move. If scope changes, we talk about it.
Strategy is part of the work, not an add-on.
Before any design starts, we look at what the site needs to do: who it’s for, what they need to understand, and what action you want them to take.
You can maintain it yourself when we’re done.
We build on Webflow or Framer and hand over a documented CMS so your team can update content without calling us.
How we work
Four steps, no surprises
Discovery call
30 minutes. We listen, ask the questions you haven’t thought of yet, and tell you honestly whether we’re the right fit.
Written scope
What we’ll build, what it will cost, what you need to provide, and when it will be done. You approve it before anything else happens.
Design and build
Weekly check-ins at agreed milestones. Two revision rounds included. You see work-in-progress, not a final reveal at the end.
Handover
Your site, your CMS, your files. A walkthrough call, written documentation, and 30 days of support after launch.
From clients
“We’d worked with two agencies before and both times ended up with a site that looked fine but didn’t convert. The Visual Grid spent real time understanding our customer before touching a single design.”
“What I appreciated most was that they told us what they thought, not just what we wanted to hear. They flagged a section that wasn’t going to work, explained why, and suggested something better. That saved us four weeks of backtracking.”
Field Notes
Things we’ve written down
What a good website brief actually contains
Most briefs describe the deliverable, not the problem. Here’s what changes when you write it the other way around.
When to redesign and when to stop tweaking
There’s a point where improving individual elements stops helping. How to know if you’ve reached it.
Webflow vs. custom build: the honest version
Not a tool comparison. A framework for deciding which fits your actual situation.

We take on 3–4 projects per quarter. If timing works, we’d like to hear about yours.
